Concrete Testing Services

An extremely important requirement for the construction industry is to know the quality and strength of the concrete supplied to sites by the concrete companies.

G.T. Certification’s Laboratory Services are UKAS accredited for the testing of the compressive strength and density of concrete, mortars and grouts with results available on the day of test.

We also offer the value added service of taking the samples and making the cubes required for testing without the customer having to worry about the condition of the cubes. They are placed in curing tanks within 24 hours of being made and strictly temperature controlled over the period of curing.

We attend sites all over the country and work closely with clients to make sure that samples are taken as the concrete is delivered to site.

Coring of concrete floors and walls can also be carried out with the core sample being tested for compressive strength and density. Potential strength of concrete is invaluable information when change of use takes place within a-building or structure.

The Laboratory provides testing services to the following standards:

Concrete sampled on site and cubes made to BS EN 12390-2:2000

Concrete cured to BS 1881 : Part 111 / EN 12390-2-2000

Concrete tested for compressive strength to BS 1881 : Parts 117 :1983 / EN 12390-3:2002

Concrete tested for density to BS 1881 Part 114 1983 / EN 12390-7:2002

Concrete Beams tested for flexural strength to BS EN 12390-5:2000

Mortars, plasters and screeds tested to BS 4551 : Part 1 : 1998

Coring Services for thickness of cover or compressive strength tests

Abrasion Resistance testing to BS 8204: Part 2 : 2002

Slip / Skid Testing on Concrete floors to BS 7976 : Part 2 : 2002
